Another recent and delicious recipe for dinner, mint and basil orzo with fresh parmesan. This recipe is incredibly quick and easy and the herbs and cheese added a lot of flavor to the orzo.

Herb and Parmesan Orzo

    1 cup uncooked orzo
1/2 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
    Small pat of butter
    A few sprigs fresh mint
    Handful fresh basil leaves
    Salt and pepper to taste

Cook orzo as directed on packaging. While cooking roughly chop the herbs and grate the parmesan (making sure to take excessive tastes of the parmesan, as necessary). When the orzo is done and drained add the butter, chopped herbs, parmesan and mix. Salt and pepper to taste! (I use both liberally, as I have a love affair with sodium and fresh cracked pepper).
